Producer David Heyman revealed that director Alfonso Cuarón left the Harry Potter franchise after "The Prisoner of Azkaban" due to exhaustion. Cuarón, who brought a unique vision to the film, was asked to direct "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" but declined. Mike Newell and later David Yates directed subsequent films in the series.
