A huge Payday 2 engine upgrade is coming with an open beta on 30th June
Sidetrack Games is upgrading Payday 2 to the Diesel 3.0 engine, bringing performance improvements, a smaller install size, and 64-bit support. An open beta for this update will run from June 30th to the end of July. Starbreeze Studios continues development on Payday 3, while Sidetrack Games, formerly the MUG Team, has taken over the ongoing care of Payday 2.
