A Minecraft Movie 2 confirms new official title, and may be teasing Herobrine
The Minecraft movie sequel has been officially titled "A Minecraft Movie Squared" and is set to release on July 23, 2027. Stars Jack Black and Jason Momoa provided an update on filming, and the movie will feature Kirsten Dunst as Alex and potentially Matt Berry reprising a role, possibly as the urban legend character Herobrine. Mojang Studios is also running a "Minecraft Movie Build Challenge" where fans can have their creations featured in the film.
