A Minecraft Movie Squared announced
Mojang officially announced "A Minecraft Movie Squared," the sequel to the successful live-action Minecraft movie, during Minecraft Live 2026. Director Jared Hess and writer Chris Galletta return, with Jack Black reprising his role as Steve and Kirsten Dunst joining as Alex. The film is scheduled for a July 23, 2027 release.
