A New Lord of the Rings Film Is In The Works and It's Co-Written By Stephen Colbert
Warner Bros. has announced two new films in The Lord of the Rings franchise: The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, co-written by Stephen Colbert and directed by Andy Serkis, set for a December 17 release, and The Lord of the Rings: Shadows of the Past, co-written by Colbert and Philippa Boyens, which will explore events after The Return of the King and focus on the descendants of the Fellowship.
