Activision seemingly didn't bother fixing a 15-year-old Call of Duty: Black Ops exploit for its new port, modder says, but it's now investigating the leftover PS3 issue

Activision's recent ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 are reportedly suffering from a 15-year-old exploit, similar to issues found in the original PlayStation 3 version. A modder claims that neither Activision nor Iron Galaxy updated the game's file encryption, allowing players to exploit save files for XP farming. Activision has disabled some playlists and is investigating the issue.
