Akai just released a portable and relatively budget-friendly MPC sampler
Akai has released the MPC Sample, a portable and budget-friendly sampler and groovebox featuring 16 velocity-sensitive pads, 32 stereo voices of polyphony, and various sampling and editing capabilities. It includes four effects engines with 60 effect types and ships with 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD. Priced at $400, it offers a five-hour battery life and is available now, with comparisons drawn to Teenage Engineering's EP series and older Akai MPC models.
