Apple, Amazon join push for looser greenhouse emissions reporting
Apple and Amazon are among over 60 companies urging the Greenhouse Gas Protocol to make proposed changes to emissions reporting optional rather than mandatory. The companies argue that stricter rules, particularly for Scope 2 emissions related to renewable energy certificates, could hinder investments in sustainability programs and increase electricity costs.
