Bethesda learned its lesson from DLC pop-ups in its older RPGs: 'We've gotten better at that'

Bethesda has improved its approach to handling downloadable content notifications in its role-playing games, learning from past experiences with titles like Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition. Istvan Pely noted that the earlier practice of bombarding players with DLC unlock messages upon loading saves was not ideal. The company has since refined its methods for integrating DLC content more seamlessly.
