Blue Origin also wants to put AI data centers in space
Blue Origin has filed with the FCC for permission to deploy 51,600 satellites to create an orbital AI data center system called Project Sunrise. This initiative aims to provide computing capacity for artificial intelligence uses, complementing terrestrial data centers by leveraging solar power and avoiding land and grid infrastructure costs. Blue Origin joins SpaceX in proposing space-based data centers to meet the growing demand for AI computing power.
