Can you play Pokémon Pokopia on Switch 1? Only with GameShare
Pokémon Pokopia, slated for a 2026 release, will be a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive and is not directly playable on the original Nintendo Switch. However, a feature called GameShare allows Switch 2 players to host multiplayer sessions that can be streamed to a Switch 1 or another Switch 2 via Wi-Fi, though this functionality is limited to the Palette Town region and two players.
