Dead Space series producer Chuck Beaver suggests that a Dead Space 4 is unlikely because companies are now prioritizing live-service games like Fortnite over single-player experiences. Despite the critical success of the original games and the 2023 remake, poor sales figures and the high cost of development mean that Electronic Arts is unlikely to greenlight another installment. Beaver noted that while horror games have dedicated fanbases, their sales potential often has a ceiling, making them less attractive investments compared to perennial money-makers.
