Despite its trailer, Capcom says its Resident Evil - Code: Veronica remake is third-person and taking its cue from Resident Evil 2
Capcom has confirmed that the upcoming remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica will feature a third-person perspective, similar to the Resident Evil 2 remake, rather than the first-person view seen in its announcement trailer. Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi stated the game aims to respect the original while taking cues from Resident Evil 2, and will tell Claire Redfield's story three months after the Raccoon City incident. The remake is slated for a 2027 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
