Destiny 2's active development will end in June
Bungie has announced the end of live development for Destiny 2, with the final update, Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph, scheduled for June 9, 2026. Following the release of The Final Shape expansion, the studio will shift focus to other projects, including the recently launched Marathon. This decision comes after Sony noted that Destiny 2's performance did not meet expectations.
