Discord finally upgrades the maximum file upload size: your pet pictures have never looked so good
Discord has doubled the maximum file upload size for free users to 20MB, allowing for higher resolution sharing of photos, videos, and other attachments. The platform has also updated its mobile upload process to check original file sizes before compression, which may cause some files that previously passed to now be rejected on iOS and Android. Discord Nitro subscribers continue to have significantly higher upload limits, ranging from 50MB to 500MB.
