Firefly is getting rebooted as an animated series
An animated reboot of the science fiction series Firefly is in advanced development, with original cast members including Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, and Morena Baccarin expected to voice their characters. The project is being helmed by showrunners Tara Butters and Marc Guggenheim, with early concept art provided by ShadowMachine and production by 20th Television Animation. While creator Joss Whedon is not involved, he has given his blessing.
