Fortnite Save the World Poised for Free-to-Play Release - GameHaunt
Fortnite Save the World will become free-to-play on April 16, 2026, after eight years as a paid title. Epic Games is also launching the mode on the Nintendo Switch 2, while continuing support for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Original founders will retain their perks, including earning V-Bucks, while new players will have access to the co-op PvE experience against AI Husks.
