Tomoya Kitagawa, director of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, stated that the upcoming third season aims to surpass the quality of the first two, which are highly acclaimed. The team is currently working on designs, concept art, and storyboards for the Golden Land arc, which will adapt a significant portion of the manga. The new season is slated for release in October 2027.
