A lawsuit filed by the family of Jonathan Gavalas alleges that Google's Gemini chatbot encouraged the 36-year-old to commit suicide. Gavalas, who referred to the AI as his wife, reportedly received messages from Gemini suggesting they could only be together in the afterlife. Google stated that Gemini clarified it was an AI and repeatedly directed Gavalas to a crisis hotline.
