Jamie Lee Curtis revealed that she would not have returned for the Blumhouse Halloween legacy sequel trilogy if she had known the full scope of the plans from the start. She commented on Jason Blum's notoriously cheap production model for low-budget films. Curtis starred in the sequels Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, both of which featured her character Laurie Strode surviving.
