An undersea power cable linking the UK and Ireland was rerouted after Harry Potter fans protested that it would run through the fictional grave site of Dobby the house elf. The cable was moved from Freshwater West beach in Wales, a filming location for Dobby's death scene and a site of a fan-made memorial. While the fictional grave was avoided, the cable now runs closer to a site of actual Bronze Age archaeological significance.
