How to get Prototype gear in The Division 2
The Division 2 has introduced Prototype gear, the highest tier of weapons and armor, with Year 8 Season 1. Players can obtain these items by participating in the new Escalation mode missions, with higher difficulties offering better chances. Prototype gear can also be obtained by upgrading existing High-End items that have reached maximum Expertise and level, though these items cannot be further optimized or recalibrated after conversion.
