It's not quite finished yet, but Marathon is rolling out an "experimental duo queue" later this week - and there are more experiments to come

Bungie is introducing an experimental duo queue for its extraction shooter Marathon starting March 18th. This limited-time feature will allow pairs to play on the Perimeter map for two weeks, providing data to help shape future implementations. Game director Joe Ziegler noted that the user experience is not final and further experiments are planned.
