Longterm supported Linux kernels get a longer life
Linux developer Greg Kroah-Hartman announced extended support for Longterm supported Linux kernels. Versions 5.10 will now be supported for 6 years, 5.15 for 5 years, and 6.6, 6.12, and 6.18 for 4 years, with 6.18 guaranteed at least 3 years. This provides users with more time to prepare for future kernel upgrades.
