Marathon update makes UESC enemies weaker, but they're still messing me up at every opportunity. Bungie have "no plans to change that"

Bungie has released an update for Marathon that reduces the health of most UESC enemies and bosses, and decreases the frequency of EMP grenade usage. While these changes aim to alleviate resource burdens and allow players to be better prepared, Bungie states they have no plans to significantly reduce the difficulty of PvE combat, as they appreciate the challenge it provides.
