Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum stated that the initial concept for Daredevil: Born Again strayed too far from the continuity of the Netflix Daredevil series. The show underwent retooling to better align with the previous seasons and incorporate more of the titular character. Winderbaum noted that while Born Again is a new era with a different aesthetic, it acknowledges and builds upon the foundation of the original Netflix show.
