Developer 4A Games has announced Metro 2039, the fourth installment in the post-apocalyptic shooter series. The game will feature a new protagonist, The Stranger, and will explore the consequences of war, with its message shifting from preventing war to depicting its reality. Metro 2039 is set to launch in Winter 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
