Metro 2039 is set to be a darker and more thematically complex entry in the series, exploring themes of tyranny and the consequences of war in a post-apocalyptic Russia. Developed by 4A Games in Ukraine, the game will feature a fully voiced protagonist and is expected to launch in winter 2026. The developers aim to deliver the rawest Metro experience yet, building on the established grit of the franchise.
