Nintendo boss rules out Super Smash Bros. movie despite Mario Galaxy cameos
Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has stated that a Super Smash Bros. movie is not currently planned, despite characters like Fox McCloud and Pikmin appearing in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Miyamoto explained that such cameos are incidental and not part of a larger strategy for a 'Nintendo Cinematic Universe'. Nintendo is, however, developing a live-action film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda.
