Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo announced that the first major DLC for Nioh 3, titled Hell Rising, will be released on August 19. This DLC introduces a new story set in Edo during the Keian era, two new weapon types, a new difficulty mode, and the Hundred Demon Realms Picture Scrolls system for customizable challenges. Hell Rising is part of the game's season pass, with a second DLC, Bloody Insurrection, planned for a 2027 release.
