Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II are set to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 1, 2026, in Western markets and today in Japan. Square Enix confirmed that these versions will feature improved resolution and frame rates but will not support save data transfer or upgrades from the original Nintendo Switch versions.
