Orbitals dev on why the game was made for Nintendo Switch 2
Shapefarm's Game Director Jakob Lundgren explained that Orbitals is being developed exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 due to its cooperative multiplayer focus and GameShare features. This allows players to purchase the game once and share it with others, both locally and online. Orbitals is set to launch on September 3, 2026.
