Persona 4 Revival lets Atlus "go more in-depth" with Yosuke, lead says, even if you can't romance him: "There has been something more we could explore with every character"
Atlus producer Kazuhisa Wada revealed that Persona 4 Revival will allow for deeper exploration of characters like Yosuke and Kanji, building upon their personalities developed in spin-off titles. While Yosuke's previously criticized homophobic dialogue has been adjusted for modern sensibilities, Wada confirmed there will be no romance options for him or other male characters due to development constraints. Art director Akane Kabayashi also noted Chie's extensive role in the original game.
