PlanetSide 2 celebrates 23 years of the PlanetSide franchise
PlanetSide 2 is celebrating the 23rd anniversary of the PlanetSide franchise with a double XP event running from May 22nd to May 25th. The game has also received new purchasable items, including a rocket rifle and Justicar armor set. The original PlanetSide launched in May 2003 and went offline in 2016, with its sequel continuing the series under Daybreak Game Company.
