Following the successful box office and critical reception of the science fiction film Project Hail Mary, a sequel is reportedly not out of the question. MGM Amazon is considering a follow-up, which would depend on author Andy Weir's willingness to write another story. The film has been praised for its sense of wonder and inventive filmmaking.
