PS5 Getting New Game in Beloved Action Franchise This Year
Metro 2039, the next installment in the popular action shooter franchise, is confirmed for a winter 2026 release window on PlayStation 5 and other current-gen platforms, excluding the Nintendo Switch 2. Developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver, the game is a sequel to Metro Exodus and will feature a story-rich single-player campaign set in the Metro tunnels beneath Moscow.
