Developer Rare Ltd. announced a shift in Sea of Thieves' update strategy, moving away from a three-act seasonal rollout to focus on improving game health and introducing custom server tools. Season 20 will experiment with world events, removing Raid voyages in favor of more rewarding open-world encounters to make the game feel more alive.
