Sega-owned Rovio is shutting down its Copenhagen studio, resulting in the cancellation of the mobile game Sonic Blitz and the redundancy of approximately 20 employees. The company cited that player retention for Sonic Blitz did not meet expectations. This closure follows a series of other shutdowns and layoffs within Rovio and Sega.
