Serious Sam: Shatterverse Review – It’s seriously… something
Serious Sam: Shatterverse is a roguelite cooperative first-person shooter that brings back the series' signature big guns and crass humor, but struggles to maintain fun over repeated attempts. While the weapon variety and core mechanics are satisfying, the game suffers from a slow unlock pace, repetitive content, humorless dialogue, and numerous bugs, particularly with its online multiplayer. The developers at Behaviour Interactive have introduced some interesting systems, but they ultimately fail to keep runs fresh, leading to a "mishmash of different systems" that doesn't quite work.
