Shigeru Miyamoto says the live-action Zelda movie is hitting theaters a week sooner than planned

The live-action The Legend of Zelda movie has had its worldwide theatrical release date moved up one week to April 30, 2027, from its original May 7 date. Franchise creator Shigeru Miyamoto announced the change via social media, stating the production team is working hard to get the film released as soon as possible. Actors Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bro Bragason have been cast as Link and Zelda, respectively, with filming having begun in New Zealand.
