Mortal Kombat II, the sequel to the 2021 film adaptation of the popular 1990s video game, will focus on the champions of Earthrealm battling in Outworld. After Shang Tsung's failure, Shao Kahn initiates a new tournament in Outworld, threatening Earthrealm with invasion if they lose.
