Sony is starting a weird service that scans people to put them in PlayStation games
Sony has announced a new initiative called The Playerbase, which aims to scan players' likenesses for inclusion in PlayStation games. A contest is underway to feature one fan's face as a character portrait in Gran Turismo 7, with the winner also designing a vehicle logo and exterior, and undergoing a full-body scan. The program is rolling out slowly and is available to players in various regions.
