Spotify Pulls ‘AI Persona’ Artists Out of Its Recommendations
Spotify will begin labeling artist profiles that do not represent real people as 'AI Persona' starting in mid-September, removing them from recommendations. While artists can voluntarily declare themselves as AI personas, Spotify will also use a combination of human review and AI tools to identify and tag profiles that appear to be AI-generated but were not disclosed. This policy focuses on the identity of the artist rather than the method of music creation.
