State of Decay 3 has announced alpha playtests will begin next month for players who sign up on the official website. Future playtests are planned throughout 2026, featuring 4-player co-op, base building, and combat mechanics. The zombie survival game was initially announced six years ago for Xbox Series X and PC, with a major re-reveal in 2024.
