The Super Mario Bros. Movie and the Super Mario Galaxy Movie have collectively surpassed $2 billion in worldwide box office earnings, making them the tenth highest-grossing animated film series of all time. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie alone has grossed $747.4 million globally and achieved the highest domestic debut of 2026 so far.
