Supergirl screenwriter Ana Nogueira stated that the script for the upcoming DC Universe movie is entirely new and does not carry over any elements from her previous script for the cancelled DCEU Supergirl film starring Sasha Calle. The new Supergirl, based on the comic "The Woman of Tomorrow" and starring Milly Alcock, will be a fresh take on the character, differing significantly from Calle's portrayal. The film is scheduled for release on June 26, 2026.
