Switch 2 Systems With Swappable Batteries Coming This Year, But Not In The US
Nintendo will release updated Nintendo Switch 2 systems with swappable batteries in Europe starting this fall, with accessories to follow in winter. These revised models will be slightly heavier and have a marginally smaller battery capacity than current versions, but the change is a regulatory requirement and not due to a safety issue. The original Joy-Con controllers are also receiving new models in Europe without battery or weight changes.
