Tau isn't "Warframe 2," but it's a bold new step for Digital Extremes
Digital Extremes has revealed the Tau system for Warframe, a new noir-infused region distinct from the game's traditional aesthetic. This update, launching in 2026, introduces a new Chimera Frame named Brysko, voiced by Matthew Mercer, and features a darker, more methodical gameplay experience inspired by mafia dramas and L.A. Noire. The developers emphasize that Tau represents a significant evolution for Warframe, not a sequel, and will feature new planets and locations.
