The Caribou Trail is a PlayStation 5 and PC game that explores the experiences of Newfoundland soldiers during the Gallipoli campaign of World War I. While the game offers an interesting historical perspective and detailed narrative through soldier conversations, it is hampered by a meager budget, limited and clumsy gameplay mechanics, and significant bugs, including a save data loss issue. Despite its good intentions to shed light on a lesser-known aspect of history, the game's rough edges and lack of traditional gameplay make it a disappointing experience for those seeking a conventional video game.
