The upcoming Mass Effect television series from Amazon MGM is being developed to appeal to audiences unfamiliar with the video game franchise. Executive producer Mike Gamble confirmed the show will not retell the original game's story or feature Commander Shepard. The next Mass Effect game is also still in development, though a release date has not been announced.
